Absolute contraindication of magnetotherapy

• Pregnancy - it is necessary to be cautious, though all experimental works deny negative influence of magnetic fields.
• Pacemaker - function can be affected with fatal consequences
• Hyperfunction (increased function) of thyroid gland, adrenal gland, under precaution.
• Myasthenia gravis - speculative, based on the knowledge of spasmolytic effect of magnetic field, be cautious
• Bleeding states of any origin
• Hypothalamus and pituitary gland diseases
• Severe Fungal Diseases - worsening of fungal of the toes
• Acute viral diseases – precaution
• Active tuberculosis – precaution
• Malignant tumors in the history (pre-disease) - as a precaution. Recommended consultation with an oncologist
• Psychosis - speculation on the basis of behavioral changes in experiments, in precaution.
• Diabetes mellitus
• Application site sensitivity disorders.
• An area of great sympathetic knitting

Relative contraindication of magnetotherapy

• Neurological diseases – seizure
• Severe atherosclerosis
• Menstruation of women
• People with a strong predominance of parasympathetic tone (nerve of the nervous system)
• Pain of unknown origin
• Unknown diagnosis or cause of health problems

Side effects

• Calming or falling asleep during treatment.
• Headache or dizziness during the treatment.
• Dizziness or collapse conditions after application (in hypotonic patients).
• Nausea or diarrhea after stopping the application.
• Increase in arthritic joint pain or irritated nerve roots during application.

  SPECIAL ATTENTION

• Attention should be paid to patients with hypotension (or tendency to it) and hypertensive patients. There may be a significant drop in blood pressure with all accompanying phenomena. However, this reaction usually disappears within 30 minutes after the end of exposure. Adaptation occurs after the first 5 exposures.
• Precautionary care - exclude pregnant women from the operator and we do not recommend to handle applicators when the device is running.
• Take special care with people with low or very high blood pressure.
• Take special care with people who are under the influence of medicines or who are ill or disabled, especially when they are at home. The patient must be supervised by the operating staff.
• Particular attention should be paid to domestic use. The patient must be supervised by the operating staff.
• Special attention when combined with other treatments.
• A slight synergy with phenylbutazone was found experimentally.
• Mild antagonism (mutually interfering) with salicylates and marked antagonism with steroids.
